67 year old gold Rolex Datejust only worn by one person: me.

When my friend told me he found a NOS Rolex 6605 a few years ago I told him I would buy it from him so I could wear it. He thought I was crazy. It was completely fresh with its original Rolex lizard strap and buckle and barely even a hairline scratch anywhere including on the movement screws. Its only signs of age was the radium burn marks on the dial.

I’ve worn it a few times since, enough to put some light marks on it and wear away the crown logo on the caseback sticker. Us vintage watch dealers are always trying to find the best fresh to market pieces and sell them for as much as possible, but just one time I wanted to say screw it and keep one for myself. After owning it for a couple years I’ve realized that I don’t wear it as much as someone should.

Being the first person ever to wear a NOS vintage watch can be stressful, so I’ve done the hard part for you. Hopefully you’ll wear it significantly more than I did.

CONDITION NOTES

CASE: Unpolished and barely ever worn.

DIAL & HANDS: All original and untouched with full lume plots. Some plots have fully darkened but are still there. Claw markers are in perfect condition. Any blemishes on the dial are from radium dust sitting in the same place for decades. Hands are in exceptional original condition.

MOVEMENT: Serviced a couple years ago. Running well with good timing & excellent amplitude.
