Hello. My name is Chris and I’m addicted to watches.
This site is basically my intervention. I can’t possibly keep all the beautiful watches that come into my possession, so I’ve built it as a means for me to sell some of them and continue my love of collecting and learning while still having a roof over my head. That’s how serious this addiction is.
ShinyHappyObjects started as an Instagram blog to share my passion for gorgeous timepieces like the one pictured here. The first thing you may see when viewing my page is a vast array of wonderful vintage watches, some of which have traveled all over the world. What may not be as apparent however is the time, dedication, research & trust it takes to ensure that each piece I’ve acquired is authentic and honest.
The luxury watch world, especially vintage, can be a daunting place even for enthusiasts with some knowledge. In my own collecting experience I’ve come across an abundance of watches, learned more than I ever expected and have had to navigate several potential pitfalls that come with this very expensive hobby. But I’ve also met so many like-minded individuals, some of whom have helped me immensely. My hope is that I can also be that source of help for others.
Many of the watches listed for sale here are from my personal collection and would not have been acquired in the first place unless they met a very high standard of condition, originality and operation. For the watches that I’ve acquired to sell or for consignment pieces, I can guarantee that these have been put through the same scrutiny as my collection pieces. As some of these watches are very old, it is perfectly normal for certain parts to have been replaced to maintain their reliability. These things will be disclosed in the listing. I hold TRANSPARENCY in all listings and transactions the number one priority.
My reputation has always been extremely important, so any trust placed in me will not be taken for granted.
