1960s Gallet MultiChron 12 “Snow White” EP40
The fairest of them all.
$6,950
OVERVIEW
The MultiChron 12 is Gallet’s most famous line of watches produced from the 1950s until the 1970s and were assembled in several configurations; different dial colors and textures, different case shapes depending on the manufacturer, and two different movements over time. This white non-lumed dial has come to be known by collectors as the “Snow White” and its most attractive characteristic actually lies in its austerity. It may resemble a classroom wall clock, but look closely and you’ll find all the details that make it one of the most attractive chonographs ever; from the fonts, perfectly executed glossy markers, silvery white satin dial, and my most favorite part - blued hands.
While all versions of the Gallet MultiChron 12 have their charms and are collectible for different reasons, the “Snow White” is one of the most difficult to find in this condition. You won’t find a more versatile, balanced and wearable chronograph than this one.
CONDITION NOTES
CASE: Excellent condition with sharp edges and never polished. Light to normal wear considering its age.
DIAL & HANDS: Perfect and stunning “Snow White” dial with glossy printed Arabic markers. Blued hands are in absolute excellent condition as well.
MOVEMENT: Keeping great time with all functions working smoothly. The EP40 movement is one of the most satisfying chronograph movements I’ve ever handled.
