OVERVIEW

The interesting about colors is that a person can see two slightly different shades of a color and emphatically prefer one choice over the other. Take this blue nipple dial Rolex Submariner for instance. A majority of these watches either have more of a dark admiral blue tone or if lighter might take on a royal blue tone, neither of which I’m a big fan of. This particular example has a dial that has turned more of an azure blue, with shades of teal around the markers… and this one I’m crazy about. That might sound extremely nit-picky, but when you’re spending nearly $50k on a gold watch with a blue dial it damn well better be the exact thing you want.

CONDITION NOTES

CASE: Prominent and thick with original brush finishing still visible. Looks as though it’s never been professionally polished and overall it’s in worn but attractive condition. A light expert polish might look great but I won’t be the one to do it. The next buyer can decide to if they like. Bracelet is in tight solid condition but worn.

DIAL & HANDS: Stunning and vibrant azure blue nipple dial in excellent untouched original condition and creamy tritium lume. Dial is starting to tropicalize around the markers with teal blue showing. Original gold handset is also in excellent condition.

MOVEMENT: Running optimally and in clean condition with high amplitude and accuracy.
