OVERVIEW
Being one of the sexiest watches ever made, it’s no wonder the Rolex Day-Date is also one of the most successfully sold watches in history. This is also probably in part due to all the different dial variations that have been available throughout the generations to appeal to a wide range of tastes.
As far as Day-Date dials go, the Tapestry dial doesn’t come close to being the most exotic or rare, but it’s the perfect balance of versatility, subtlety, and intrigue. While it’s supposed to be black, the color is actually more of a slate or charcoal depending on how the light hits it. It’s truly a dial that needs to be seen in person to be fully appreciated.
Overall, this is a fantastic statement piece that has a little something extra especially for the one who’s wearing it.
