1979 Rolex Sea-Dweller 1665 “Rail Dial” MK2

In case you need to bring a vintage watch 2000ft deep.

$OLD

OVERVIEW

The MK2 “Rail Dial” Rolex 1665 is the most sought after dial configuration after the early Double Red Sea-Dweller and is mostly distinguishable by how the words “SUPERLATIVE CHRONOMETER OFFICIALLY CERTIFIED” line up in the center. This dial, along with the 1665 COMEX dial were the only ones produced by the manufacturer Stern and were only made from 1978 - 1979.

This example is really as good as it gets condition wise with a sharp, even and minty case, perfect attractive dial and hands, soft black bezel, and top condition original bracelet with tight links and an unpolished clasp. If you’re looking for a vintage tool watch a bit more interesting than a Rolex 5513 or 1680 Sub then look no further.
