OVERVIEW

There is a certain aura that a gold Rolex sports watch exudes that you may not find if wearing something meant to be dressier or something in stainless steel. Despite seeming like a statement piece though, it’s easy to overlook how practical and versatile a gold GMT-Master II actually is. In addition to being a highly functional tool watch, the 18k gold allows the wearer to dress it up much more so than a steel version, while dressing it down is as easy as swapping the bracelet for a leather or NATO strap. Even this army green elastic strap (pictured below) looks fantastic on it. This watch closely veers into one watch collection territory. There aren’t many watches I can say that about.

CONDITION NOTES

CASE: Pretty much as good as it gets. Sharp, thick, and even with long lugs and minimal wear. The bracelet has mild stretch but is in very good condition and the clasp looks unpolished.

DIAL: Unmolested and all original perfectly glossy dial with original lume.

HANDS: Matching original hands in perfect condition.

MOVEMENT: Keeping accurate time and running smoothly with high amplitude.
