OVERVIEW

As Rolex transitioned to using updated materials and processes throughout the 1980s for the Submariner such as a sapphire crystal, glossy dial with white gold surrounds, updated in-house movement, and milled steel link bracelets, they continued making the Tudor Submariners the same old way throughout the 1990s. This watch is essentially a Rolex 1680 with an ETA movement and of course a Tudor logo. The really cool thing about it though is that it has a quickset date function, which a Rolex 1680 never had. And it’s significantly cheaper too.

CONDITION NOTES

CASE: Appears to be professionally polished in the past but expertly done with prominent chamfers, sharp edges and long thick lugs. Perfect original insert. Bracelet is in excellent condition.

DIAL & HANDS: Perfect and vibrant dial in original condition and light yellow patina lume. Original handset has the normal light oxidation that comes with the tritium patina being this color.

MOVEMENT: Running optimally and in clean condition with high amplitude and accuracy.
