1970 Omega Speedmaster 69ST Tropical Dial
Brown is the new black.
$OLD
OVERVIEW
The Omega Speedmaster 69st is a transitional model and is the second Speedmaster to use the 861 caliber movement while being the first to have the printed logo dial Omega continued to use for the next few decades. The 69st is one of the few models known for having dial become “tropical” or faded to brown because of a defect in the dial paint that made it susceptible to degrading under prolonged exposure to sunlight and heat.
CONDITION NOTES
CASE: Fantastic condition and I’m confident enough to say that it’s never been polished before. The Dot Over 90 bezel is also in superb shape.
DIAL: Perfect dial and lume. The dial has faded to a dark to medium brown which is most obvious in daylight.
HANDS: Excellent original condition and consistent with its age.
MOVEMENT: Pristine condition and running great. All functions are in ideal working condition.
