ABOUT THIS WATCH

Over a decade before Rolex produced the first automatic Daytona, their little sister brand Tudor developed their first automatic chronograph with the Big Block powered by a robust and reliable Valjoux 7750 movement with quickset date function. So the Big Block pretty much has the same heritage as a vintage Rolex Daytona, but it’s slightly cheaper.

This Tudor Big Block is in excellent condition overall. While the case has obviously been polished in the past, it maintains it’s proper facets and has only minimal scratches from normal wear. The dial & hands are flawless and the original tritium lume has an even color throughout and properly glows under UV light. A full service was performed in late 2019 and all functions work perfectly. Out of all the Tudor Big Block dial configurations, the “Reverse Panda” (white subdials over black base) is the most desired.

While being very reliable it is also extremely beautiful and highly satisfying to wear. It has a slight quirkiness and still feels down to Earth while maintaining an air of unattainability. Kind of like your high school crush.
